About

A creative at heart, Shruti uses her skill to express herself in the area of fashion, design, and art. Having graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology New York, Shruti lived in Milan and New York interning with Design Houses before moving back to Chennai to set up her studio. In 2017, she co-founded Biskit, an art and design studio with her brother Harsha. Biskit is a design studio that explores the boundaries of fashion, art, and design. Having worked on extensive projects which have involved the creation of a unisex clothing collection and collaborations with international music artists. Biskit is known for its multi-disciplinary design philosophy.

Many times, Shruti draws inspiration for her creative vision through her experiences from her travels that have taken her all over Europe including trekking on Mont Blanc. As someone who loves exploring new cities and new cuisines are it in India or abroad, she will walk miles for a good bowl of Ramen!
She has a strong work ethic and is dedicated to the company that she has built from scratch, but she is also known to be a prankster at heart - she loves a good joke and a laugh.

When she is not working, you will find her doodling over sketches listening to some Tame Impala tunes or hanging out with her family and close friends playing board games over a good cup of cappuccino. Having grown up with dogs her entire life, she's a dog lover at heart. She also loves to experiment in the kitchen, either whipping up one of her infamous one-pot wonders, or an amazing chocolate cake. She's a true Chennai girl as well and enjoys her dosa and rasam.

Having been exposed to spiritualism from a young age, Shruti has a very strong value system and takes a balanced approach to anything she takes on. She is devoted to her friends and she's patient and thoughtful, always ready to lend a helping hand. At the end of the day, Shruti is very close to her family and friends and has always gone above and beyond to help them whenever they needed her. Living with a grandmother whom she adores has taught her patience and to respect elders and be a compassionate person.

Shruti is a member of Rotary NextGen and is an active participant in the Club's initiatives. She is also a member of Madras Cub and Kodaikanal Club.
A suitable life partner with the right values, from a loving and caring close knit family who shares her passions and is appreciative of her and whom she can complement likewise, is what Shruti and the family seek for.
