I am an IIM Bangalore alumnus (class of 2007), a finance professional, and a rather well-known author (with 11 books to my credit so far) based in Mumbai. I am a single father of two children: a 10-year-old daughter and an 8-year-old son. I have been divorced since early 2016: I have custody of both children while my ex-wife has visitation rights. When I am at work or travelling my parents (who stay in the same building as me) look after my children.

I am looking for a new (and final) life-partner. I would prefer a childless divorcee or a widow; however, I am also open to a woman who has never been married. I expect my life-partner to be a lifelong companion to me and also a dear friend to my children (they already have a mother figure in their grandmother). Having said that I am open to having another child if the ‘right’ woman in life comes along.

Shared values overlap in life goals, and interests/passions matter the most to me. I believe people cannot walk a 40- or 50-year journey together unless they share some values and unless they are broadly on the same wavelength. I am a very ambitious person and I strongly believe that life is for flourishing and not just surviving. I hold right-wing political views, am a believing Hindu (a Vaishnava to be precise), and am passionate about Indian literature, culture, and music. I have interests in diverse areas like mathematics, languages (the more you speak the merrier, I can speak four fluently), literature, music, writing, and publishing. I play lawn tennis, table tennis, and chess to pass time.

I am not necessarily looking for somebody like me but somebody who can compliment me and be complemented by me in the journey of life. Ideally, I would like to be with an achiever in some field of human endeavour (e.g. a specialized doctor, a researcher, an author, a painter, a performer, or a yoga teacher). A sense of humour to go along with it would be just perfect. I would welcome a working woman, a freelancer, or an entrepreneur.

Together, my parents and I are taking excellent care of my children. Therefore I am not looking for a babysitter or housekeeper to look after my children. I am looking for somebody who can ‘love’ my children and be a friend to them and not ‘handle’ them.

I would like to know a person really well before taking things further. In my experience trying to know somebody through long WhatsApp conversations or many phone calls or video chats never works. Two people have to meet in person and spend time with each other to know each other well. Therefore I am interested only in a woman who is based in Mumbai or frequently travels to Mumbai.
