Ishita was born in Calcutta but has never lived in India. She is an only child, who grew up in Bahrain and then moved to Boarding School in London as a teenager. She went to James Allen's Girls' School in Dulwich, South London. This was followed by a Bachelor's degree from King's College London. She then worked for financial companies in London, such as Goldman Sachs and KPMG. During her MBA, she worked for other financial institutions in Zurich.

She enjoys traveling, writing short stories/poems and is an outdoor person who spends time trekking, horse riding and sometimes rock climbing. She believes in daily practice of meditation and yoga. As such, she enjoys Ayurveda retreats in Kerala. She loves being around close childhood friends and family, as well as experimenting with cooking and food photography. She also enjoys music, art and has been a student of Hindustani classical music.

Her work involves global travel but she enjoys being home with loved ones the most. She is ambitious and outgoing while also respecting traditional Indian values and cultural norms. She has a great zest for life and enjoys all types of humor, being a particular fan of standup comedy.

Ishita is keen to settle down and start a family, if possible, with a supportive and sensitive partner and friend for life.
