I am from Kolkata and finished high school there. Graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from RVCE, Bangalore. Post that, moved to the US in early 2014, while working my first job in a start-up after undergrad, and then worked in a large consulting organization. I lived in NYC for a few years and moved to Chicago for business school. I recently graduated with an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. I recently started a new job with a big-tech firm; in Chicago for now, with a possibility of being able to move to the west coast or potentially back to the NY area as well.
I am a huge sports fan in general and love to play (and watch) sports and stay active. I am an easy-going person and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. I enjoy podcasts, listening to music, hanging out with friends, going on drives, hiking, going to the beach, etc.
Family- My parents live in Bangalore and have been there since 2007. Prior to that, they spent most of their life in Kolkata, and were born and grew up in Bihar. Most of the extended family lives in Kolkata. I have one older brother; he is married, and lives in California; both he and his wife are software engineers and work in California, and they have a baby girl. My father is a CA, CS, and works in the private sector, and my mother is a homemaker. We believe in simple living, high thinking, open-mindedness, and have a good mix of modern and traditional values, and are very liberal too. We are a Marwari Agarwal family.
