He has been born and brought up in Delhi, and comes from a progressive and well-educated family, which lays emphasis on traditions and family values. His entire education has been from prestigious institutions and he has been a topper throughout (received Best All-Rounder Award on passing out from School). In 2008, he was selected by TAS (Tata Administrative Service) which is the leadership arm of the Tata Group and ranked as the best Corporate Leadership Programme in India.

He was earlier working with Tata Steel (Mumbai) as the National Brand Manager. Currently, he is working with Tata Communications in New Delhi, at a senior position as Associate Director, Business Development. He has worked with the Tata Group for over nine years across multiple geographies India (Mumbai and Delhi), Canada, USA, London, South Africa, China, and Thailand.

his father Late Sh. Sunil Aggarwal, B.Com (Hons) was in the business of manufacturing of woolen fabrics, having his own Textile Mill. His mother, Smt. Rekha Aggarwal is BA (English), Hons. from St. Stephens College, Delhi and LLB from Law Faculty, Delhi University. She is having her independent practice in Supreme Court and Delhi High Court for over 28 years and own Chamber in Delhi High Court.

His Nana Sh. B.M. Aggarwal belongs to a reputed business family of Amritsar and has earlier been a Civil Judge in Delhi. His Nani Smt. Manjula Aggarwal belongs to a very reputed Marwari business family of Ajmer, Rajasthan. His Mama Anil Aggarwal is practicing in Delhi. His Dada Late Sh. Inderjeet Aggarwal was a well-known respected industrialist and his Dadi Late Smt. Sundar Shanta Aggarwal was a housewife. His Bua Shalini Aggarwal is married into an affluent business family in Mumbai.
