- We are a maharashtrian Kokanastha Brahmin family with ancestral origin from Nasik Maharashtra. But over two generations we moved to the eastern part of the country West Bengal, Bihar and UP for employment and have thus lost touch with our roots. My father worked in Calcutta and I have spent my time in Bombay, abroad and for the last25 years or so in Delhi. I have two sisters both married and living in Pune.
- We are a family of four with one son and daughter. Our son who is elder to Anuja by 6 years is working in Citi bank NY and is yet to get married. He graduated from RV college of Engg and subsequently did his MBA from US. After MBA he has stayed in US and is awaiting his green card.
- Her mother is MSc PhD and has retired as a Director from Distance Education Council which was later merged as a part of UGC. Earlier she was an officer in a public sector bank before accompanying me to Jordan after marriage.
- As for me I graduated from IIT Bombay in the Mech stream and did my Masters from IIT Kanpur in OR. I started working in the software industry with TCS and specialised in Banking software. I spent a number of years in US UK Switzerland and the Middle East. In 1989 I returned to India and have since worked in TCS, XANSA, Sonata and Birlasoft in senior executive positions currently retired.
- My father was working as a Dy. Director in CGCRI Calcutta a unit of CSIR. His brothers were Collector, Editor, manager in sugar mill and Colonel in the army. My in laws are also professionals either engineers or medical doctors. The Next generation is mostly working outside well qualified as engineers and doctors.
